Joint Beamforming Design and Power Splitting Optimization in IRS-Assisted SWIPT NOMA Networks

This paper proposes a novel network framework of intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks, where IRS is used to enhance the NOMA performance (WPT) efficiency SWIPT. We formulate problem minimizing base station (BS) transmit by jointly optimizing successive interference cancellation (SIC) decoding order, BS beamforming vector, splitting (PS) ratio phase shift while taking into account quality-of-service (QoS) requirement energy harvested threshold each user. The formulated non-convex optimization problem, which difficult solve it directly. Hence, two-stage algorithm proposed above-mentioned applying semidefinite relaxation (SDR), Gaussian randomization convex approximation (SCA). Specifically, after determining SIC order designing in first stage, we alternately optimize PS ratio, minimize power. Numerical results validate effectiveness our reducing compared other baseline algorithms. Meanwhile, with non-IRS-assisted network, IRS-assisted SWIPT can decrease 51.13%.
